Trapped in an airport overnight? Here's one way to stay sane

In June of this year, American Richard Dunn found himself stranded in the Las Vegas airport for a night. Alone and missing his family, Dunn began to think about what he could do to pass the time. Armed with an iPhone, a wheelchair and some duct tape, he decided to make a music video to Celine Dion's version of "All By Myself." The resulting video quickly spread across the internet, garnering millions of views in just a few days.

All by myself from Richard Dunn on Vimeo.

To date, the video has garnered some 16 million views, and it even caught the attention of Celine Dion herself. Shortly after the video was posted, the singer posted her own video inviting Dunn to come backstage for one of her Las Vegas concerts. The singer apparently was sincere in the invitation, as Dunn as his family later did have the chance to attend one of Dion's concerts and meet the singer backstage.

So the next time your travel plans are disrupted and you find yourself stuck in an airport for several hours, consider coming up with a creative way to pass the time -- it just might make you an overnight internet celebrity!

Another fun airport-themed video that has emerged recently is a startlingly realistic take on what the Frankfurt Airport would look like if it were instead "Imperial Starport Frankfurt" in the Star Wars universe. Check it out yourself!

So far, it's unclear who the creator of the video actually is and why he or she made it (the video's poster, "Frank Wunderlich" has not posted any other videos or made any comments about the clip). But regardless, the video is a wonderfully creative take on what airports might look like in the not-too-distant future.
